Q. Why do I need a special sprayer for timber treatments?

A. Oil based wood preservatives should not be used in a standard pressure sprayer because the liquid will corrode the seal and stop the sprayer retaining pressure. Greenkey’s timber treatment sprayer is fitted with Viton seals which provide greater resistance to the chemicals.

Q. Can I use creosote in a Greenkey Timber Treatment Sprayer?

A. No. The Greenkey Timber Treatment Sprayer is for use with oil based timber treatments only – for the reasons explained above.
